Itinerary

DAY 1

📍 Meeting at 06:00 in Bucharest, in the Piața Victoriei car park, where the Coach of Joy will be waiting for you together with the accompanying guide. 🛞 Mecleș's Mill The oldest working water mill on the Iza Valley is located in Săcel. Danila Mecleș's mill was built in 1850, by Jews. Sixteen Jews owned it until Danila's grandfather, once their servant, bought it. There were many interested buyers, but the Jews sold it only to him because they were pleased with his work and the honesty of their servant. 🛏️ Accommodation and dinner at Pensiunea Alexa/Bocrita

DAY 2

🍽️ Breakfast 🚂 Ride on the Mocanița One of the most important cultural and technical treasures of the country, the Mocanița from Vișeu de Sus is the last forest steam railway in the world. Built as a favourable technical solution for transporting timber, the forest railway still operates today, both for its original role and for transporting tourists. !! Mocanița ride fare during the holiday period: Adult - 165 lei (includes the mocanița ride, a hot drink and a pastry) Pensioner / Student - 156 lei (includes the mocanița ride, a hot drink and a pastry) Child 3 - 18 years - 119 lei (includes the mocanița ride, a hot drink and a pastry) https://online.mocanita-maramures.com:8870/ 🌊 Horses' Waterfall (Cascada Cailor) The waterfall is located at an altitude of 1300 m and is formed from water that gathers from Mount Cailor in a circular glacial depression, due to snowmelt and frequent rains that slide down the steep slope of the Piatra Rea Reserve, cascading over the Horses' Bridge from a height of approximately 90 metres in several steps with successive falls. ATTENTION!!! This objective will be carried out between April and October. During the cold season, only if weather conditions permit. If it cannot be reached, it will be replaced with another objective. 🛏️ Accommodation and dinner at Pensiunea Alexa/Bocrita

DAY 3

🍽️ Breakfast ⛪ Bârsana Monastery Bârsana Monastery, set in the Iza Valley, is an icon of the Maramureș Orthodox Christian soul, a hope for a blessed future. It is a holy place where nature unites with the Church in a cosmic liturgy. 🏡 Maramureș Village Museum The museum, as it looks today, creates the impression of a village with local character, which has evolved from a "scattered" and "dispersed" type to a "clustered" one. Straight streets (main ones) and winding ones, paths and "prilazuri" make up the intimate structure of the "village" and converge towards a promontory on which, as in all Maramureș villages, the church is placed. 🎗️ Memorial of the Victims of Communism The Memorial of the Victims of Communism and of the Resistance at Sighetu Marmației is a historic monument recreated in memory of one of the most notorious political prisons in our country from the communist era, which became the first memorial in the world dedicated to the memory of the victims of communism. ⛪ Merry Cemetery (Cimitirul Vesel) The cemetery is the life's work of the renowned sculptor, painter and folk poet Ion Stan Pătraș, continued by Dumitru Pop, one of Pătraș's apprentices. The crosses are carved from oak wood, painted and versified through inlay. All the crosses are painted in a certain shade of blue, known as "Săpânța blue". Each cross has an epitaph written in short doina verses. ⛪ Săpânța-Peri Monastery The current Săpânța-Peri Monastery was founded in 1997, near the village of Săpânța, not far from the course of the Tisa. The building was erected between 1998 and 2003, and with a height of 78 metres, the church of Săpânța-Peri Monastery is possibly the tallest wooden church in the world. The cross is 7 metres and has been covered with 4 kg of gold, and the entire church is clad with 8.5 kg of gold. A few nuns spend their days at this edifice. 🍴 Dinner 🛏️ Accommodation at Pensiunea Alexa / Bocrita

DAY 4

🍽️ Breakfast 🏙️ We head home, with a short stop for lunch in Sighișoara. 🚌 Arrival in Bucharest during the evening, depending on traffic conditions.

🚌 Boarding

1.Coach seats are allocated starting from the 4th row, in the order the deposit is paid. For rows 1-3 an extra fee may be paid (specific to each trip).

🚍 Coach rules

🚭 No smoking (including e-cigarettes, vapes, IQOS) — not even with the window open
🍷 No alcohol for the whole duration of the journey
🍪 No food on the coach (seeds, crisps, etc.) — only drinks in containers with a lid are allowed
🎧 Audio only with headphones (no phone speakers)
💺 Seat belt mandatory for the whole journey

📍 During the trip

2.The order of the visits may be changed by the guide without affecting the structure of the programme. Sights may be replaced with similar ones for objective reasons (roads, weather, etc).
3.Entrance fees for tourist sights and optional excursions are paid in local currency to the guide and may vary by season.
4.Guiding services in museums or cities may only be provided by local guides, paid on the spot.
5.For lost/stolen luggage, documents or personal belongings, the agency is not liable. Complaints are filed personally with the competent authorities.

💰 Price details

6.The single supplement is paid at least 7 days before departure if the agency cannot find a room partner.
7.Children get a discount only when sharing a room with 2 adults.
8.For tourist packages and holidays in Romania we accept payment with Romanian holiday vouchers: Pluxee, Edenred and Up Romania.
