Itinerary

DAY 1

Bucharest – Istanbul 🚌 We meet at 20:00 in the car park in Piața Victoriei, where the coach awaits us with the accompanying guide. We depart towards Istanbul, with a stop of approximately 30 minutes at Duty Free, at the border crossing between Bulgaria and Turkey, outbound only. We travel overnight by coach.

DAY 2

Arrival in Istanbul. Optional excursion: the historic city and Bosphorus cruise 🕌⛴️ We arrive in the morning in Istanbul, at the Marmaray Yenikapi 4* hotel or similar. We check in, if the hotel has the rooms ready, or leave the luggage at reception and set off to discover the city. The optional excursion begins with a cruise on the Bosphorus, with Europe on one shore and Asia on the other. We then return to the old city, to Sultanahmet Square, to the Hagia Sophia mosque. Those who wish may also visit the Cisterns and Topkapi Palace, the residence of the Ottoman sultans. Estimated cost: 30 €/person. Includes local transport, local guide, Romanian guide and Bosphorus cruise. Minimum 15 participants. Entrance fees to sites are not included. Those who do not participate have a free day.

DAY 3

Optional excursion: Istanbul, on the Asian side 🌉 Breakfast. We begin the day with a visit to the Emelda leather factory, where a fashion show with their own products awaits us: leather and fur garments. For what you purchase there, Emelda offers a 2-year warranty. Next is a Turkish sweets factory, where you can taste and buy Turkish delight, baklava and many other types of sweets. Then we cross the Bosphorus, to the Asian side. We climb Çamlıca hill, to Çamlıca Mosque and Çamlıca Tower, from where you can see the whole city, on both continents. We have lunch on the Asian continent, at a restaurant with Turkish food. Estimated cost: 60 €/person. Includes transport by coach or minibus, local guide, Romanian guide and Turkish lunch. Minimum 15 participants. Entrance to Çamlıca Tower is not included (optional).

DAY 4

Optional excursion to Büyükada Island 🏝️ Breakfast. We set off to visit Büyükada Island, the largest of the Princes' Islands. We travel by the Marmaray metro, under the Bosphorus, to reach Asia, to Bostancı port, where we board a ferry for a cruise on the Sea of Marmara. On Büyükada you have the impression that time flows more slowly. Only electric vehicles circulate here, and the streets are lined with old wooden houses and villas with gardens, among pines. We tour the island in electric cars. Those who wish can walk up to St George's Monastery (Aya Yorgi), located on the highest hill of the island. The climb is moderate, but can be tiring for those who are not used to walking uphill. The others have free time on the promenade, among cafés and shops. We have lunch on the island, with fish or chicken dishes, after which we return to the hotel or remain in free time for shopping in the old centre of Istanbul or at the Grand Bazaar. Estimated cost: 60 €/person. Includes travel by Marmaray metro and ferry, return, island tour in electric cars, lunch and Romanian guide. Minimum 15 participants. On stormy days, when ferries to Büyükada do not run, we do instead the optional excursion Fanar, İstiklal Boulevard and Galata Tower (40 €/person).

DAY 5

Optional excursion: Florya Aquarium, Pelit Chocolate Museum and Sapphire Tower 🐠🍫🏙️ Breakfast. We begin with Florya Aquarium, an underwater world full of colours, with fish and creatures from the seas of the world. We continue to the Pelit Chocolate Museum, where we learn how chocolate is made and conclude the visit with a tasting. The last stop is at Sapphire Tower, one of the tallest skyscrapers in Istanbul, from whose observation platform you can see the whole city. We return to the hotel in the afternoon, and the rest of the day is free. Estimated cost: 40 €/person. Includes transport by coach or minibus, local guide and Romanian guide. Minimum 15 participants. Entrance fees to sites are optional and not included. Assumption of Mary evening, 15 August: cruise with dinner and show on the Bosphorus 🌙 In the evening we cruise by boat on the Bosphorus and admire the illuminated bridges, at a dinner with drinks (limited alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and an artistic programme with traditional Turkish and Romanian dances. Estimated cost: 60 €/person. Includes coach transport from the hotel and back, cruise, dinner with drinks and show. Organised regardless of the number of participants and includes transfer from hotel to port and from port to hotel.

DAY 6

Istanbul – Bucharest 🚌 Breakfast. We depart from Istanbul towards home, with a stop at a market with Turkish products. We arrive in Bucharest in the evening, depending on traffic.

🚌 Boarding

1.Coach seats are allocated starting from the 4th row, in the order the deposit is paid. For rows 1-3 an extra fee may be paid (specific to each trip).

🚭 No smoking (including e-cigarettes, vapes, IQOS) — not even with the window open
🍷 No alcohol for the whole duration of the journey
🍪 No food on the coach (seeds, crisps, etc.) — only drinks in containers with a lid are allowed
🎧 Audio only with headphones (no phone speakers)

📍 During the trip

2.The order of the visits may be changed by the guide without affecting the structure of the programme. Sights may be replaced with similar ones for objective reasons (roads, weather, etc).
3.Entrance fees for tourist sights and optional excursions are paid in local currency to the guide and may vary by season.
4.Guiding services in museums or cities may only be provided by local guides, paid on the spot.
5.For lost/stolen luggage, documents or personal belongings, the agency is not liable. Complaints are filed personally with the competent authorities.

6.The single supplement is paid at least 7 days before departure if the agency cannot find a room partner.
7.Children get a discount only when sharing a room with 2 adults.
