Hotels in the Danube Delta: guesthouses and hotels around the Delta
The Danube Delta is a maze of channels, lakes and reed beds, with birdlife and landscapes you will not find elsewhere. Most trips start in Tulcea, and from there you reach fishing villages on the Sulina and Sfântu Gheorghe branches or on the shore of Lake Razim.

Frequently asked questions

- When is the best time to go?
- Spring and autumn are good for birds and light; summer for the beach and boat trips. Out of season some guesthouses are closed, so confirm before you go.

- No. Some villages, such as Sulina and Sfântu Gheorghe, can only be reached by water; for others the last part of the journey is by boat. Ask your accommodation how to get there.
- What kind of accommodation can I find?
- Mainly guesthouses and small hotels by the water, sometimes with meals and organised trips. You see the details on each offer’s page.
