Itinerary

DAY 1

🕒 🚌Meeting at 06:00 in Bucharest, in the Piata Victoriei car park 🚗 (📍 Parcare Piata Victoriei on Google Maps), where the coach and accompanying guide await you. ⛪ Lainici Monastery Situated in the picturesque Jiu Valley, it is a place of profound spirituality and tranquillity, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Carpathian Mountains. Dating from the 14th century, the monastery is known for its authentic architecture and valuable icons, attracting pilgrims and visitors seeking an oasis of prayer and reflection. With a rich history and a calm atmosphere, Lainici Monastery is a symbol of faith and Romanian monastic traditions. 🦇 Boli Cave A natural gem hidden in the heart of the Parang Mountains. Known for its impressive dimensions and wide galleries, the cave is traversed by the Jupaneasa river, which adds a special charm to the underground atmosphere. Local legends and archaeological discoveries suggest the cave was used as a shelter in ancient times. Visitors can explore spectacular formations of stalactites and stalagmites in a unique underground landscape that offers a captivating and educational experience. 🪨Banitei Gorges The nature reserve is located in the Gradistea Muncelului - Cioclovina Natural Park and is situated near Boli Cave, carved by the Banița river in the same limestone massif. The gorges are particularly spectacular, offering a rarely encountered landscape. The rocks sculpted by water delight the eye, as does their colouring which is spectacular, as there are areas where the rocks partially cover the gorges like an umbrella. Accommodation Hotel / Guesthouse Hunedoara

DAY 2

🍽️ Breakfast 🌳I Giardini di Zoe A place of special beauty, this impressive park is created in the style of Renaissance Italian gardens, offering visitors spectacular landscapes with well-kept paths, flower terraces, elegant statues and fountains. The peaceful atmosphere and attention to detail transform this place into a paradise of nature, perfect for relaxing walks and moments of contemplation. I Giardini di Zoe represents an ideal destination for garden lovers and for those seeking a corner of refinement and beauty in the heart of Transylvania. 🛁 Geoagiu-Bai A charming spa resort, ideal for a 2-3 hour walk. Situated at the foot of the Apuseni Mountains, the resort combines natural landscapes and history. We will explore the remains of the Roman Baths, where you will discover traces of ancient civilisation. Continue with Clocota Waterfall, an impressive 20-metre waterfall surrounded by lush vegetation. A special point of interest are the mineral water springs, known for their properties. These bicarbonate, calcium and magnesium mineral waters are recognised for their beneficial effects on health, offering an opportunity for revitalisation during the walk.
