PROGRAMME: 📍 Meeting at 08:00 in Bucharest, in the car park in Piața Victoriei, where the coach will be waiting for you together with the accompanying guide. 🏰 Conacul Drugănescu Built in Brâncovenesc style, this mansion was erected between 1710–1715 by Gavril Drugănescu, vornic of Târgoviște. It is a place full of history and elegance, set in a picturesque setting that reflects the charm of the old Romanian aristocracy. With impressive architecture, this mansion exudes refinement through its classical details and its noble atmosphere. Visitors can admire the authentic decorations, period furniture and the fascinating stories surrounding this place. 🏰Brâncovenesc Ensemble – Potlogi The palace at Potlogi is an emblem of the Brâncovenesc style. Born as an artistic phenomenon of synthesis between indigenous elements and those of both oriental and occidental influence, between tradition and artistic innovation, the Brâncovenesc style has triumphed over time. In 1698, Constantin Brâncoveanu, ruler of Wallachia, raised from its foundations a princely court at Potlogi, in the centre of which stood the palace. The court at Potlogi was built for Constantin, the eldest son and presumptive heir to the throne of the country. ⛪ Acoperământul Maicii Domnului Monastery Opened at the feast of 'Acoperământul Maicii Domnului' on 14.10.2023, it is the tenth monastery within the Diocese of Giurgiu and the monastery community will be led by Mother Cecilia Moldoveanu. ⛪Church in Drăgănescu With Saint Hierarch Nicholas as its patron, it is a simple village church that still preserves, in the living memory of its community, the piety and faith of the one who painted it. In 1968 Father Arsenie Boca began painting the parish church in the locality of Drăgănescu, working on it for more than 15 years. In addition to the scenes typical of any iconographic programme, the father added to its interior walls a multitude of novel scenes, addressing the daily life and sins of people. 🚌 Arrival in Bucharest in the course of the evening, depending on traffic conditions.
