DAY 1

🛞 Mecleș's Mill The oldest working water mill on the Iza Valley is located in Săcel. Danila Mecleș's mill was built in 1850, by Jews. Sixteen Jews owned it until Danila's grandfather, their servant at the time, bought it. There were many interested buyers, but the Jews sold it only to him because they were satisfied with his work and the honesty of their servant. 🛏️ Accommodation and dinner at Pensiunea Alexa/Bocrita For departures on 23-26.07 and 13-16.08 accommodation will be at Pensiunea Conacul Birtoc / Pensiunea Godja

🍽️ Breakfast 🚂 Ride on the Mocănița One of the most important cultural and technical assets of the country, the Mocănița from Vișeu de Sus is the last steam forestry railway in the world. Built as a favourable technical solution for transporting timber, the forestry railway operates today, both for its original role and for transporting tourists. !! Fare for riding the Mocănița during holiday periods: Adult - 136 lei Pensioner / Student - 126 lei Child 3 - 18 years - 95 lei https://online.mocanita-maramures.com:8870/ 🌊 Cascada Cailor (Horses' Waterfall) The waterfall is at an altitude of 1300 m and is formed from water that collects from Mount Cailor in a circular glacial depression, due to melting snow and frequent rains that slide down the steep slope of the Piatra Rea Reserve, spilling over the Horses' Bridge from a height of about 90 metres in several steps with successive falls. ATTENTION!!! This attraction will be visited between April and October. In cold weather, only if weather conditions permit. DAY 3

🍽️ Breakfast ⛪ Bârsana Monastery Bârsana Monastery, set on the Iza Valley, is an icon of the Maramureș Orthodox Christian soul, a hope for a blessed future. It is a holy place where nature unites with the Church in a cosmic liturgy. 🏡 Maramureș Village Museum The museum, as it looks today, creates the impression of a village with regional character, which has evolved from the "scattered" and "dispersed" type to the "clustered" type. Straight (main) and winding lanes, paths and "prilazuri" make up the intimate structure of the "village" and converge towards a promontory on which, as in all Maramureș villages, the church is placed. 🎗️ Memorial of the Victims of Communism The memorial of the victims of communism and the resistance in Sighetu Marmației is a historic monument recreated in memory of one of the most notorious political prisons in our country from the communist era, which became the first memorial in the world dedicated to the memory of the victims of communism. ⛪ The Merry Cemetery The cemetery is the life's work of the renowned sculptor, painter and folk poet Ion Stan Pătراș, continued by Dumitru Pop, one of Pătراș's apprentices. The crosses are carved in oak wood, painted and versified through inlay. All the crosses are painted in a certain shade of blue, known as "Săpânța blue". Each cross has an epitaph written in short verses of doina. ⛪ Săpânța-Peri Monastery The present Săpânța-Peri Monastery was founded in 1997, near the village of Săpânța, not far from the Tisa river. The building was erected between 1998 and 2003, and at 78 metres high, the church of Săpânța-Peri Monastery is possibly the tallest wooden church in the world. The cross is 7 metres and was covered with 4 kg of gold, and the entire church is plated with 8.5 kg of gold. 🍽️ Breakfast 🏙️ We head home, with a short stop for lunch in Sighișoara. 🚌 Arrival in Bucharest in the evening, depending on traffic conditions.

🚌 Boarding

1.Coach seats are allocated starting from the 4th row, in the order the deposit is paid. For rows 1-3 an extra fee may be paid (specific to each trip).

🍷 No alcohol for the whole duration of the journey
🍪 No food on the coach (seeds, crisps, etc.) — only drinks in containers with a lid are allowed

📍 During the trip

2.The order of the visits may be changed by the guide without affecting the structure of the programme. Sights may be replaced with similar ones for objective reasons (roads, weather, etc).
3.Entrance fees for tourist sights and optional excursions are paid in local currency to the guide and may vary by season.
4.Guiding services in museums or cities may only be provided by local guides, paid on the spot.
5.For lost/stolen luggage, documents or personal belongings, the agency is not liable. Complaints are filed personally with the competent authorities.

6.The single supplement is paid at least 7 days before departure if the agency cannot find a room partner.
7.Children get a discount only when sharing a room with 2 adults.
