What we visit

Our 6-day tour takes you through the most emblematic places of Istanbul and its surroundings. We depart from Bucharest with the Coach of Joy and arrive in the morning in Istanbul.

In Istanbul, a magical Bosphorus cruise awaits you, where you will admire the impressive panorama of the city, with Europe and Asia embracing each other on either side of the strait. Did you know that the Bosphorus is approximately 30 km long, with a maximum width of 3,700 metres at the northern entrance and a minimum width of 700 metres between Kandilli and Asiyan?

We visit the historic city with an optional excursion to Sultanahmet Square, where you will admire Hagia Sophia mosque, created with elements of Byzantine art. Did you know that Hagia Sophia was built in 537 AD under the Byzantine emperor Justinian I and was the largest cathedral in the world for nearly 1,000 years?

Also, optionally you can visit the Cisterns, an exceptional masterpiece of Roman engineering. No, the optional excursions are not compulsory, but are recommended to make the most of your Istanbul experience. Each optional excursion is organised with a minimum of 20 participants and has a separate estimated fee. You can choose to participate only in those that interest you.

What documents are required to travel to Turkey?

For Romanian citizens, a valid identity card or passport is required. We recommend you check your documents at least one month before departure to avoid any problems at the border.

Does the hotel offer breakfast?

Yes, breakfast is included on days 3, 4, 5 and 6 at the Marmaray Yenikapi 4* hotel or similar. On the first day we arrive in the morning in Istanbul and check in, and on the last day we depart after breakfast for Bucharest.

How long does the coach journey from Bucharest to Istanbul take?

We depart from Bucharest in the evening at 21:00 and arrive in the morning in Istanbul, after a stop at Duty Free and a passage through Veliko Tarnovo. The journey takes approximately 10-12 hours, depending on traffic and conditions at the border.

Can I participate in the Turkey Day Turkish evening if I do not choose the optional package?

The Turkish evening on the Bosphorus is a separate optional excursion, with an estimated fee of 60 EUR/person, which includes transport, cruise, dinner with drinks and artistic programme. To participate, you must opt for this package, which is organised with a minimum of 20 participants.
