Initially built in the 19th century, the church is dedicated to "Saint Hierarch Nicholas" and is a remarkable example of traditional Romanian religious architecture. ⛪ Comana Monastery Initially founded in 1461 by Voivode Vlad Țepeș, the monastery had a defensive role, being fortified to protect the area against Ottoman invasions. Due to repeated destruction, the monastery was rebuilt in the 16th century by the boyar Radu Șerban, who completely restored it, also adding a complex of cells. The monastery church, dedicated to "Saint Nicholas", is built in Brâncovenesc style, being remarkable for its specific architecture and for the decorative elements carved in stone. ⛪ Cernica Monastery Founded in 1608 by the chancellor Cernica Știrbei, the monastery is dedicated to "Saint George" and is known for its atmosphere of peace and contemplation, as well as for its rich spiritual and cultural history. ⛪ Pasărea Monastery Founded in 1813 by the archimandrite Timotei, the monastery is dedicated to the "Holy Trinity" and is known for its beauty and tranquillity. The monastery includes a main church, several chapels and cells for nuns, all situated in a picturesque natural setting, near Pasărea Lake.
