Itinerary

DAY 1

🕒 🚌Meeting at 06:00 in Bucharest, in the Piața Victoriei car park 🚗 (📍 Parcare Piata Victoriei on Google Maps), where the coach and the tour guide will be waiting for you. 🏞️The first stop will be at Ocnele Mari Salt Mine, where we will descend to a depth of 225 metres to explore this wonderful underground paradise. Here we will have the opportunity to savour delicious dishes at the underground restaurant or to treat yourselves to local wines in a unique cellar. We continue the tour at Cozia Monastery ⛪, a sacred place with a rich history. Its church dedicated to the Holy Trinity is an architectural jewel, and the legends surrounding it will captivate you. 🏰We end the day with a walking tour at Alba Iulia Citadel, an impressive fortress built by the Habsburgs. Here you will admire the Cathedral of the Reunification of the Nation, the old Roman and medieval fortification, as well as the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St Michael, considered to be the oldest Gothic church in the country. 🛏️ Accommodation at Hotel Univers T 3* in Cluj/similar.

DAY 2

🍽️ Breakfast 🚶Walking tour in Cluj-Napoca Together with the local guide we will start the tour in Avram Iancu Square, where you will find the Orthodox Cathedral, impressive for its neo-Byzantine architecture. Opposite is the Romanian National Opera, an important cultural symbol of the city, where opera, theatre and ballet performances take place. From here, the walk continues towards Unirii Square, where you will encounter the Roman Catholic Church of St Michael, one of the most beautiful Gothic churches in Transylvania, and the statue of Matthias Corvinus. 🏞️We continue the tour with a visit to Turda Salt Mine, a salt mine transformed into a fascinating underground museum. Here we will explore its spectacular galleries, admire the Rich Man's Staircase and an underground lake. With a 20-metre Ferris wheel and recreational spaces, Turda Salt Mine is a unique destination. The last objective on our tour is Dumbrava Monastery⛪, located 55 kilometres from Alba Iulia. The monastery was built in just a year and a half and rivals the most famous establishments of this kind in the country 🚌Arrival in Bucharest in the course of the evening depending on traffic conditions.

🚌 Boarding

1.Coach seats are allocated starting from the 4th row, in the order the deposit is paid. For rows 1-3 an extra fee may be paid (specific to each trip).

🚍 Coach rules

🚭 No smoking (including e-cigarettes, vapes, IQOS) — not even with the window open
🍷 No alcohol for the whole duration of the journey
🍪 No food on the coach (seeds, crisps, etc.) — only drinks in containers with a lid are allowed
🎧 Audio only with headphones (no phone speakers)
💺 Seat belt mandatory for the whole journey

📍 During the trip

2.The order of the visits may be changed by the guide without affecting the structure of the programme. Sights may be replaced with similar ones for objective reasons (roads, weather, etc).
3.Entrance fees for tourist sights and optional excursions are paid in local currency to the guide and may vary by season.
4.Guiding services in museums or cities may only be provided by local guides, paid on the spot.
5.For lost/stolen luggage, documents or personal belongings, the agency is not liable. Complaints are filed personally with the competent authorities.

6.The single supplement is paid at least 7 days before departure if the agency cannot find a room partner.
7.Children get a discount only when sharing a room with 2 adults.
8.For tourist packages and holidays in Romania we accept payment with Romanian holiday vouchers: Pluxee, Edenred and Up Romania.
